Scoring is determined by the following rubric:

How It Works

Team Format: Duo
Unique Settings:

First-person
Red zone disabled
2x AR spawns
2x Ammunition spawns (We're experimenting with increased spawns for our event, if it ends up changing the experience in a negative way this may be reverted!)

Trials

The Trials phase is the qualifier to reach the Qualifier. We will host five total custom matches, starting at 7pm EST on Friday, September 8th. This month the Trials matches are played on-stream at twitch.tv/curse! [applause] The rules are simple: the 20 top teams from each Group match move on to the Saturday Qualifier.

This month we've also introduced a special new rule for the Trials phase, the 1st and 2nd place teams from each Group match receive an automatic bye into the Final on Sunday.

September 8 - 7:00pm EST Group A
September 8 - 8:00pm EST Group B
September 8 - 9:00pm EST Group C
September 8 - 10:00pm EST Group D
September 8 - 11:00pm EST Group E

Qualifier

The Qualifier decides who moves on to the Final on Sunday. This month is a little bit different. The Qualifier uses our point structure system to determine placement in each Match. Our full point structure system is outlined at www.cursetrials.com.

This month, Trials teams are placed into two Groups, Group A and Group B. Each group will play a total of three matches. From each Group only the top 15 teams based on final standing will move on to the Final.

September 9 - 2:00pm EST Group A
September 9 - 5:00pm EST Group B

Final

The Final is the conclusion of the Curse Trials, 30 teams from the Qualifier will compete with 10 (1st/2nd place) Trials teams and 10 teams of invited participants.

Similarly to the Qualifier, our Curse Trials Point Structure is used to determine placement in the Final.

The top 5 teams (based off of total points) after all 5 matches are played are awarded Exclusive Curse Trials prize crates, with the #1 team earning the coveted and hand-crafted Curse Trials Trophy to commemorate their victory.
