Welcome to the Official PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS Best Loadout Guides page! This page has some of our suggested best loadouts for various playstyles. They're roughly sorted into four "classes" - Assault, Defense, Close Quarters, and Ranged. If you have any suggested changes for these classes, please let us know on this page's talk page!

Explaining the Classes

It's really important to figure out what role you're wanting to play early on in the match. Depending on what your role is, you're going to be looking for different gear and different attachments, as you're going to be using them for vastly different purposes.

Assault Loadout

This build depends on weapons that allow you to strike hard and fast, with enough ammo for both. This is key - with other builds, the ammo is only somewhat important, but with assault, the idea is to keep up sustained fire - this directly affects the attachments you're going to be looking for.

Defense Loadout

For this build, you're looking for weapons that offer great defensive capability. This means you're going to want weapons that allow you to keep enemies at bay while also switching to close range when required. Additionally, there's a few small pieces here that are great for stopping enemies from ever getting close enough to you to do damage - something that will keep you alive much longer than your cohorts.

Close Quarters Loadout

As a close combat specialist, you're going to want weapons that focus on close, localized, intense damage. You're also one of the few loadouts where we suggest having a powerful melee weapon to fall back on.

Ranged Loadout

The ranged loadout does exactly what it says on the tin - keep your enemies at range, preferably killing them before they ever even see you. Because of this, you're looking for weapons that offer crazy range and damage, and attachments that help towards that end.

Loadout Picks

The following are our picks for each "class" loadout. The reasoning for each weapon is included in the class-specific loadout pages, so if you want to see why we picked what we did, there's a good place to start! TL;DR get the best guns in the game that are usually only found in crate drops.
